Courier Prime - It’s Courier, just better. A free font from Quote-Unquote Apps designed specifically for screenwriters. Screenplays have a lot of white space, so Courier Prime was made a bit heavier to balance things out. Use Courier Prime in Prolific when you want that screenwriter's vibe. Garamond 3 URW - Garamond is a beautiful serif font used by many writers. I've included this particular free font in honor of one of my favorite prolific authors, who has used Garamond No. 3 for many of his hardcover novels. This is a great font to imagine your words printed on paper. It is available from fontpalace.com (http://www.fontpalace.com/font-details/Garamond+3+URW/).

I'm a writer, independent filmmaker, editor and programmer. I have a love for technology and creativity, and so I developed Prolific to be a simple text editing app for jotting down notes, story ideas, or even working on a screenplay or novel in text format.
Since this is an app I use for myself, I've chosen plain-text format for maximum compatibility across all devices and platforms. For screenwriting, I like the Courier Prime font for the subtle extra weight, so I've included it here as the default font choice in Prolific.
Some apps will offer endless customization options. This is not that app. The reason is simple. Less distraction, more writing. I have included only a handful of options. Enough for a personalized experience, but not too many to cause infinite distraction. Options are kept on the bottom app bar, so you don't have to dig deep into settings to make a change. Select a font, set the font size, tap the Maximize button to go full edge-to-edge text, or keep the more simulated page view, hit the toggle for the Day or Night theme-- and WRITE.
There's an auto-save/auto-recover feature, so you never have to worry about losing work if you close the app without saving. Just re-open the app to auto-recover and continue where you left off.
